Rimming Machine Series 6500 VS

This machine is designed for unattended operation. It has a PLC controller that will change the bowl feeder direction to clear jams. If the machine cannot clear itself after two tries it will turn itself off and send a signal to a warning light. Machine has a light to remind user when servicing is necessary. This machine uses changeable bowl feeder exit tracks.

This Rimmer was designed for the proof coin. There are no feeders. The blank floats on an air cushion. The blanks do not touch each other so there is no damage. The rimmer has air tracks on the entrance and exit.

Rimming Machine Series 7500

The 7500 Series Dual-Feed machine is our most powerful, robust, and fastest machine yet. It's dual-feed capability was specifically designed to give the user the option to rim hard
blanks by utilizing either one or both feeders. The rigidity of the machine ensures that it outputs blanks of diameters within 0.0127 mm (0.0005 in), even if only one feeder
is running.

  • Highly robust spindle assembly for high-precision rimming
  • Each bowl feeder can be run independently of the other with no effect on overall precision.
  • All components are directly driven; No drive belts or chains are implemented.
  • (Optional) Air-feed tracks convey blanks into and out of the machine on a layer of air for increased endproduct
    quality.
  • Two Sliding Protective Guards enclose the rimming components to ensure operator safety.
  • Two Safety Interlock Switches ensure that the machine will not run if both covers are not in their full-closed position.
  • Pressure-fed oiling system for spindle bearings and main drive gearbox.

  • Auto-shut-off: Machine will shut down if there is no activity for a prolonged amount of time. This is to minimize energy waste.
  • Auto-reverse: Bowl feeders automatically reverse rotation if the machine senses no blank flow during the rimming operation (i.e. - if the bowl feeder cannot flow blanks due to a bent blank blocking the flow path).
  • The auto-reverse function can be manually disabled in low volume applications where blank flow is intentionally intermittent. This can be applied to each feeder independently.
  • Bowl feed level sensors communicate with on-board electronics. The machine can control the operator's in-feed conveyor.
  • The machine will halt in-feed if the machine halts.
  • In-feed conveyor can communicate to the machine if in-feed jams or otherwise stops. The machine will stop upon receiving such communication.
